Mountain bike PhnomPenh to Siemreap

Day1: Phnom Penh Arrival (Cycling: No)    

Upon arrival at Phnom Penh Airport, meets and transfers to hotel for check-in

Day2: Phnom Penh – Kampong Cham (Cycling: 65km)  

After breakfast, we leave Phnom Penh in the support vehicle and disembark 20 kms out of town to ride on small trails following the river and through colourful villages and the Outdong Mountain. After we reach the main road, the support vehicle will take us onward to Kampong Cham. This charming town is situated on the banks of the Mekong River and is home to several wats and small temples, as well as a tower lookout. It’s a perfect place for a sightseeing afternoon.

Day3: Kampong Cham – Kampong Thom (Cycling: 60km)

Leaving the quiet town of Kampong Cham, we will enjoy a brisk 60 km ride on small trails along the edge of the Mekong River and through some mountain ranges. After a stop for lunch, the support vehicle will take us to the town of Kompong Thom, capital of Kompong Thom province which is home to around 200 Angkorian temples.

Day4: Kampong Thom – Siem Reap (Cycling: 40km)

In the morning we cycle 30 km on the main road to visit one of the oldest and most interesting sites in Cambodia, Sambor Prei Kuk. Located in a wild forest, this group of pre‐Angkorian temples was once the capital of the Chenla kingdom and is absolutely unique. Afterexploring the site, we drive in the support vehicle to the busy town of Siem Reap.

Day5: Siem Reap – Angkor Temples (Cycling: 65km)   

We leave early in the morning and ride to Cambodia’s most important cultural heritage, the magnificent temples of Angkor. Our first stop is the 12thcentury Buddhist temple Ta Prohm, notable for the giant trees growing out of the ruins. Next we cycle to Angkor Thom, the last city of the Khmer empire, and break for lunch in front of Angkor Touch temple. We end this magnificent day trip with a visit to the spectacular Angkor Wat temple.

Day 6: Bantey Srei temple 60 km Cycling

Our journey continues with a ride to Banteay Srei, a 9th century Hindu temple famous for its beautiful carvings in red sandstone. After lunch at the temple we ride back towards Siem Reap and visit Preah Khan, built in the 12th century and one of the most historic Angkorian temples.

Day7: Siem Reap – Departure 

Breakfast at the hotel. You will be free at leisure until transfer to airport for flight home
