The 7-day trek includes 3 days of trekking through the most unique villages of Sapa mountain . 5 nights among local ethnic minority community, in basic traditional houses , trying traditional mountain village lifestyle. The genuine hospitality of the villagers will create a truly unforgettable experience. This trip is especially suitable for those who want to get off the beaten path.
Night 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai
08: 30pm our tour guide will pick you up at hotel lobby to escort you to the Hanoi railway station for night train to Sapa. The train conditions are very basic however we will travel in soft sleeper class which is compartment for 4 passengers. Stay overnight on the train.
Day 1: Sapa-Ta Van- Giang Ta Chai – Seo Trung Ho (15 km) (B/L/D)
After the breakfast transfer to TaVan we’ll trekking to the Red Dao people at Giang Ta Chai. The scenery is breathtaking on the trekking way. Overnight in the Seo Trung Ho village of Red Dzao.
Day 2: Seo Trung Ho – Ta Trung Ho – Ban Ho (15 km) (B/L/D)
Continue along small paths and trek up to the hill with good views of Ta Trung Ho village the Red Dao ethnic group. On the way we have lunch and trek to Ma Quy Ho village, Red Dzao ethnic people also. Then we continue trekking to Ban Ho village where is the home to Tay ethnic group. We stay overnight in a wooden Tay stilt house.
Day 3: Ban Ho-Sapa- BacHa (15 km) (B/L/D)
After breakfast we’ll hike to SuPan Village meet the car , driving back Sapa for lunch then driving to Bac Ha ( 130km ). Overnight in hotel in Bac Ha.
Day 4: BacHa – TaVanChu (B, L, D)- Trekking : 3/5 grade
Breakfast, check out of your hotel and depart at 08.30 am. Starting point of the trekking trail from hotel . It is an easy walk through the valley and terraced rice paddies for over 2 hours to a village of the Hmong ethnic peoples. Explore the village and then take a lunch break.
In the afternoon the trek takes nearly 4 hours going up and down hill through plantations, rice paddies and especially the palm forests of the hilly land. We will pass some hamlets of the Hmong and Tay minority people, arriving at the Centre of TaVan Chu village at about 5.00 pm. Explore this beautiful village in your free time before dinner. Home stay in a local house .
Day 5: TaVanChu – ThaiGiangPho (B, L, D)- Trekking: 3/5 grade
Depart at 08.30am after breakfast at the home-stay. The trek today is easy along a large village path which connects this village to other villages of the Hmong, Tay and Nung ethnic peoples, all beautifully set along the mountain. We pay visits to many local homes along the way and everywhere people welcome visitors and treat them hospitably.
The trek in the afternoon goes uphill slightly to ThaiGiangPho . This region is inhabited mostly by the Flower Hmong who traditionally and practically build their homes on hill tops and cultivate the surrounding land to create perfect dwellings. We arrive in village at afternoon, and then take a leisurely walk to explore the surrounding countryside. Dinner and the home stay will be in a stilt house of the local people
Day summary: Trekking 6 hours, approx.17 km, grade 3 of 5/ Home stay .
Day6: ThaiGiangPho-BacHa (B, L, D): Trekking: 2/5 grade
After breakfast, leave village at about 08.30 am, to enjoy another day trekking along the beautiful valley. There is a good trail which winds up and down on the high hillsides gradually going uphill for the whole morning via local village. These people are very different from the Nung and Tay, who live in large villages in the lower lands. Lunch break and then descend along a narrow trail passing through tea farms and steep terraced paddies for 2 hours to BacHa. and overnight in Hotel in Bac Ha
Day summary: Trekking 5 hours, approx.14 km, grade 2 of 5/ hotel.
Day7:Bac Ha- Train station : whole day free time visit Bac Ha before driving to Lao Cai for
night train back to Hanoi. Stay overnight on train.
Arrival Hanoi at 5:00AM in next day, clients arrangement taxi from train station to hotel.. End of service.
