North Vietnam trekking explorer

Vietnam trekking  start the hiking tour in the north and work our way on foot, vehicle and train. The scenery on hiking is such you forget about time and distance as the surroundings become so enthralling. The ability to interact with the locals in the local markets and villages is a highlight of the tour and you will be left with an amazing feeling towards the Vietnamese for they have so little which they share so freely.

Vietnam trekkingDay 1: Hanoi-Pu Luong, trek to Sai and Hang villages.

Depart from your Hanoi hotel at 7:00 am transferring to Mai Chau. We will then leave Mai Chau for a short ride along the Ma River (22 km) to Sai village. Off the bus and off the beaten path, we begin our trek to Duom and Hang villages. For 2.5 hours we we will trek (~ 10 km ) through outstanding mountain scenery and picturesque rice paddies, see hand-crafted bamboo water wheels, and talk with the lovely local people. Spend the night in a local Thai family’s traditional home on stilts. Home stay .Includes: (B) (L) (D)

Day 2:Pu Luong, trek to Eo Ken and Kho Muong villages (6 hours ~ 20 km).

The daily life here starts early, it will be interesting for you to get up at the first sign of day light and take part in the activities in the morning, or take a stroll around Hang village before having breakfast with our new Thai friends. Start trekking at 8:00 am. Today we will be walking for a approximately 5 to 6 hours. The first section is hard with some steep climbs and stream crossings. The second stage is glorious with beautiful views of the valley, rice terraces, rich rain forests, and meandering streams. Picnic lunch on the way at Eo Ken village. Arrival in Kho Muong village is always special as the setting of the village is perhaps the most beautiful in Vietnam, nestled between steep karst mountains with rice terraces in the afternoon sun. Spend our second night nearby in a typical Thai eco, stilt home in Kho Muong village. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 3:Pu Luong, trek to Hin village (6 hours~ 22 km).

The sounds of village life will tell you that morning has arrived. Breakfast then trek to Hin village (5-6 hours). On this route we will encounter some steep climbs and more stream crossings. Along the way we will visit an incredible cave, only recently discovered, now protected by the Forest Rangers. The trekking will become more and more remote although one is never that far from a villager tending their fields. Pass steep limestone mountains and curiosity conjuring caves, through the dense rain forests all inside the borders of the Pu Luong Nature Reserve and onto Nua village.  Includes: (B) (L) (D)

Day 4:Pu Luong, trek to Ton village (7 hours~ 20 km ), – Driving to Khanh Villages

Get up early morning if you would like to observe or take part in daily life of the local people. Then breakfast is served by our Thai host family in preparation for a hard but pleasurable trek (6-7 hours) through rich and wild rain forests. This challenging hike wanders through the biodiversity of the Pu Luong Nature Reserve. We will have a picnic lunch inside the Pu Luong Nature Reserve, then continuing our trek to Ton village. The land cruiser picks us up here, and its transfer to Hanoi. Take overnight train to Lao Cai . Overnight on train Includes: (B) (L) (D)

Day 5: Sapa-Seo My Ty – Ta Trung Ho  (15 km) (B/L/D)
Arrival LaoKai at 6:00 Am , have breakfast then transfer to trekking point . Trekking along small paths and trek up to the hill with good views of Ta Trung Ho village the Red Dao ethnic group. On the way we have lunch and trek to Ma Quy Ho village, Red Dzao ethnic people also. We stay overnight in a local house.
Day 6: TaTrungHo- Nam Toong Nam Ken -Thanh Phu (15 km) (B/L/D)
After breakfast we’ll hike to Nam Sai Village to visit the Tay People, and then we’ll trek up to the Red Dzao Village the village of Xa Pho tribe – the smallest group in Sapa who have very little contact with modern Vietnam in My Son village. Then we trek one hour to trek up to hills to Thanh Phu village a Tay ethnic group. We arrive Thanh Phu and stay overnight on Bamboo’s hut.
Day 7:Thanh Phu – Nam Cun – SinChai (B,L,D)
Today’s trek will be relatively short and soft. Once leaving Thanh Phu, you follow the trekking route built in the bottom of the valley, which offers the best view to the surrounding mountains. You stop at a nice spot for lunch. After lunchtime, you continue the walk toward Sin Chai village of Red Dao minority where the night will be spent in Red Dao village.

Day 8 :Sin Chai – Nam Ket –Ben Den – Lao Cai (B,L)You wake up for an early breakfast and repack your luggage for the long trek heading toward Lao Cai.  Once  you  leave  Sin  Chai,  the  trip  takes  you  into  a  fabulously mountainous  area,  the  most remote part of Sapa. En route you meet children’ curious eyes as you are very first tourists passing by. Red Dao ethnic minority inhabits the entire area.

You will enjoy the fresh of bamboo forest and jungle until you make a stop at Nam Ket for lunch.After lunch, your trek will be mostly downhill. After about half an hour, you will have a opportunity to enjoy one of the most beautiful view of days over a green valley lying along the Red River. You eventually arrive in Ta Thang village of Tay minority. Here you will be transferred by car to Lao Cai, ( 40km )(B, L). take over night train back to Hanoi

Day9: HaNoi

Arrival Hanoi at 5:00 Am , End of service
